1st Fish

Ruby also caught her 1st fish of the dock. She would hold the pole and reel with the other hand. She's a natural. It was very cute. Her daddy was proud

Ruby's 1st boat ride

We went camping up at Ham Lake with my sister Jenny. Ruby went on a boat ride for the 1st time. Lets just say she really didn't like her live jacket. She did end up falling asleep, which she was so cute. Camping was not my cup of tea. Ruby did really good, mommy likes a bed and shower. Next time we'll get a hotel. No we did have fun. It was a beautiful weekend.

Finally Sleeping through the NIGHT

Well Ruby is the best girl. The doctor told us we had to let her cry it out herself at night. SO we did.......Not knowing how long she would cry for was really hard. The first night was the hardest. She only cried for a 1/2 hour. We were very surprised. She did wake up 2 time at night but only cried for 5 min. and 30 seconds the next time. Then next night she cried 1/2 hour again but slept all night and the next night was 5 min. Every night after she has fallen asleep either with her bottle or we put her in awake but very tired and she has slept all night. We have to wake her up in the morning when we go to work. She is also standing by herself for a few seconds. I think we may have a little walker soon. Thats all she wants to do is stand. We are going camping tomorrow for the night and Ruby will get her 1st boat ride.

6 Months

Ruby is already 6 months. She is eating more solid foods. She started crawling the other day. We also had to lower her crib all the way down because she is standing. She is the strongest baby is swear. She is a little ball of energy, I think that when she really gets going she isn't going to stop. We were just at her 6th months visit and she is 17 1/2 pounds- she's a keeper. she is 27 3/4 inches long and has her daddy's big head. We still love them both. She is still getting up every hour or 2 so the Doc said we have to let her cry it out. We are going to do that tonight. It will be a bad weekend. Me and Daddy might start crying as well. I'll let you know how it went.

Up North

It was Ruby's 1st time up north. We had a good time. It was cold. It was harder to do stuff with her because she is so little but we went swimming and went for walks. Went down to the rocks by the lake. We went on a boat ride. That was really fun.

Ruby's Tree 5 1/2 months

Well we are a little late putting this post in.... But we planted this beautiful flowering apple tree for Ruby. It sits right outside her window. This type of tree doesn't produce any fruit just white flowers.

5 Months

Can 5 Months really go buy this fast.  I know I say that each time but I really can't believe how fast it goes.  Well my baby is now 5 Months old.  She is almost crawling.  I think we may have a ways to go but she wants to go.  She has also decided not to sleep through the night any more.  I hope this is just a faze because I don't know how people do it.  She loves her food, of course, the fruits are her favorite's.  She will play with her toys to keep herself busy for a while.  That's really nice when I'm getting ready for work.  She is also laughing now.  Wow can her daddy get her going.  I try but he really has the touch.  Next week me and Ruby will be going to the North Shore.  I have gone every year with my mom, sisters, aunts and cousins.   It has been a tradition for many years and this will, obviously, be Ruby's 1st time.  I hope she loves it as much as we do.  Love Katie, Klint, and Ruby Rose
